Tokyo Part 7 - The Imperial Palace Gardens

Japan still has an Emperor. Did you know that? They do. It's awesome. While we were there they had an exhibit about the silkworm farm that is run by the Empress. Amazing. Her silkworm create some of the finest silk in the world. It has been especially useful when it comes to textile conservation.
The silk that here worms produce is most like the silk from centuries ago, fine and strong. It was amazing to see the exhibit. It's beautiful silk. I did this search and found lots of pictures.

Anyway, the Imperial Palace Gardens were beautiful. It did not have hundreds of cherry trees, but it was still very beautiful. It was much less crowded. On the other side of the main road from the palace gardens, there were some amazing blossoms from trees over 100 years old.

And now for pictures:
*Warning* Picture dump. Like 48 of them. Enjoy.
