Tokyo Part 5 - Yushima Tenman-gu Shrine

This was a shrine that was very close to our hotel and the park where we went to see some cherry blossoms. It was an interesting little shrine. It is not Buddhist, but Shinto. From what I understand, Shinto is very common in Japan. It's more of a way of thinking and a philosophy, rather than a religion as we know it.

It was the Yushima Tenman-gu Shrine. It is dedicated to the Kami of Learning. I know so little about Shinto-ism, that I can't tell you much more than that.

It was an interesting little Shrine that we enjoyed.

It was interesting. Very different from Buddhist Shrines.
