Our Saturday (May 7) Adventure part 2

After we ate we walked down Zhongshan Lu, a pedestrian street market in Xiamen. It was interesting to walk. We will do that again a number of times I believe.

Daniel is such a puppy lover. This is stray that wanted to play with him. He was a happy little puppy.

The buildings are old and have a European feel to them. They are will kept and beautiful.

This was some sidewalk art - it was a painting, not a chalk drawing. It was pretty cool.

Yimi and Molly told us this is a traditional artistic ability. It is dough made with flour. Apparently they are edible, not that I would eat one though. They had some very ornate ones and some elaborately painted ones of Buddha.

This headdress is made entirely of silver. These girls were selling silver jewelry. It was fun to walk. I will definitely put this street market on the list of places to take Xiamen visitors.

Then we headed to Gulangyu and watched some of the international rugby matches. It was funny to tease Molly about the "hot laiwai" men. She giggled and couldn't tell me if anyone of them was attractive to her. There were some women's teams and some men's teams.

It was fun to watch.

Then we went to the top of Nan pu tuo. That's tomorrow.

  1. Wow busy day! So Ben likes the sidewalk paint, the dog almost looks like Winston (if you pretend), the flour things are creepy and I would NOT eat one, and Rugby is cool. P.S. some of the guys are cute by not the one with the headgear.
