Our Saturday (May 7) Adventure

Up first: Brunch. Well, not really brunch, but food about the time of day you would eat brunch. Yimi and Molly took us to a famous Xiamen restaurant.
 It looks like a little hole in the wall.

They are meatballs of sorts. The ones on the left are made with fish paste of sorts with grand pork in the middle. The ones on the right are similar, but made with a different paste. They were pretty good.


Then the "famous" dish. They are sticky rice with mushrooms and shredded pork in them, zongzi. They were okay, but whatever the flavoring was they used made it kind of taste like dirt. I could have liked the flavor but for that dirt taste. Daniel liked it though. 

Unfortunately, I think this is what made me so ill this weekend.
